A serious artist with a playful eye, Ann Irvine paints the smile she sees in buildings, boats, birds and the charm of Old Key West. Her paintings are often described as “happy” as she combines watercolor and line drawing to translate her whimsical visions to paper. Married and the mother of two children, Ann holds a degree in Criminology from Florida State University.Mainland China, Hong Kong, Haiti, San Francisco and New England are Ann’s inspirations. Travel is as much a part of her lifestyle as is her love of architecture. Having painted for 30 years, she has operated her own studio/gallery for the past 20 years in Key West.Irvine’s work is included in a permanent display of Historic Architecture of Florida and it is displayed in numerous galleries. She specializes in on-site paintings of resorts and large-scale projects for advertising purposes. |
